The SCITT centre is based in accommodation owned by a charitable trust who
manages a successful leisure facility – the Wildcats Basketball Arena, Greenwood Road, Bakersfield, a few minutes drive from the centre of Nottingham and easily accessed by public transport.
There are around 15-20 schools from all over the city involved in the partnership; membership varies slightly year to year as more schools become involved and
placements are designated across the partnership.
Each school in the SCITT scheme provides:
- A designated professional tutor to have an overall responsibility for training and professional development of the trainee within the school
- A teacher-tutor (class teacher) to support and oversee the classroom practice of each trainee
- Shared access to staff facilities and resources
- School-based curriculum and professional development activities
- Access to ICT (and other) equipment on site
General information and support is provided by our small administrative and
management team at the SCITT centre where we have a classroom equipped with ICT and resources for the lecture element of the training. |
